Meet Karma, Our Four-Legged Therapist

Karma

Karma is a Healer

Karma isn't your average clinic assistant; she's a service animal and a beloved member of Clarus Health. Upon request, she is available to our patients before, during, and after IV Ketamine infusions. She is also available before and after Stellate Ganglion Blocks. With her calming presence and gentle demeanor, Karma helps create a soothing and supportive environment for our patients. Her presence alone can help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation, making the treatment experience more comfortable and effective.

Karma's Healing Journey

As a young puppy, Karma showed tremendous love towards other humans and animals. She was trained at an early age for obedience and service.

Karma has had many online appearances with Dr. Kaveh, where they share the numerous health benefits of dogs. These benefits include cardiovascular risk reduction, improved pain, cognition, and mental health benefits.

In 2022, patients receiving IV Ketamine therapy began requesting Karma to be present for their infusions. Given her demeanor she was adapted to work with patients at Clarus Health.

Karma for IV Ketamine and Stellate Ganglion Blocks

Beyond her comforting presence, Karma plays an active role in patient care. Before Stellate Ganglion Blocks, she can provide tremendous anxiety relief. During IV Ketamine treatments, she can sit quietly by your side, offering a reassuring touch and a sense of companionship. Her intuitive nature allows her to sense when a patient needs extra support, and she's always there to offer a furry shoulder to lean on. Karma's presence helps foster a sense of connection and trust, which can be especially important for patients navigating challenging health conditions.

More Than Just a Pretty Face

Karma is not only a valuable member of our team, but she's also a highly trained professional.  She is a service animal with specialized training in providing comfort and support to individuals in medical settings. Her training, combined with her natural empathy, makes her a pawsitively healing presence.  When she's not working, Karma enjoys long walks, belly rubs, and playing with her siblings.

Karma is available by request for comfort and safety during IV Ketamine infusions and Stellate Ganglion Blocks
